Today I’m here to tell you guys about the Watooka Clutch by Moruka Designs. I was contacted by my blogger boo Julian of Guyanese Sista who is a NY based blogger and an entrepreneur who makes handbags. Her shop is called Moruka Designs, and was created out of her love for my home country Guyana & for handbags. Moruka is the name of a village in the Guyana hinterlands, and her inspiration behind the name is to pay homage to where she’s from, what she loves and where she’s going. Her bags are hand crafted and custom made with love and care.
She has a bunch of designs to choose from, ranging from zebra print to faux leather. I was sent the Watooka Clutch, which is a multi-coloured dark blue, yellow, red, green and purple clutch with a black zipper. It has a mustard colored lining and has a huge inner pocket. The clutch is made out of a cotton fabric and features a 100% cotton lining.
One of the things that I loved about this clutch was the size. It’s 10 inches by 13 inches, so it could fit all of my essentials for the day PLUS MY DSLR CAMERA! I can not tell you how much of a relief being able to fit my camera in the clutch, along with my makeup, wallet, portable charger, keys, phone, and other random tidbits that us women carry around with us in our bags.
The quality of this bag is phenomenal! it is clearly crafted with care. The zipper, which is one of the most important parts of a handbag, is super strong and seems like it’ll last forever. Seriously! With love and care this clutch can easily last me for years.
This clutch can be dressed up or down, so I decided to go casual for today. I thought that the bold print would look great with black, so I paired it with a black oversized sweater and some dark wash skinny jeans.
Overall I love this clutch! I see myself wearing it out to brunch, for a night out with the girls, for a date with my bf, and more. The size really wins me over, since I can fit all of my goods in here. So does the quality. I plan on wearing this clutch a lot more, so be on the look out for my Watooka!
