Why I Started Blogging

WELCOME TO BLOGTOBER DAY 7 – WHAT MADE YOU START BLOGGING?

I initially started blogging to document my journey and transition to natural hair in December of 2010 through YouTube.. I created the I LOVE My Natural Hair Facebook page in June 2011 as a way to share resources for natural hair care, inspiration, and as a place to positively embrace natural textured hair. It started off with just 12 of my friends and family members, some of whom weren’t even natural and blossomed into a community of thousands of women within the first few months.

As the demand grew, I started to make more YouTube videos and post them to my Facebook page. Well that wasn’t enough! People were asking questions left and right, and requesting product reviews as well.

I decided to start this blog to share information, keep my natural hair friends updated with my latest product reviews, hair care tips, and more. It’s blossomed since then! Check out my first post.

Since some of my interests have expanded, this blog now covers a variety of topics including fashion, hair care, events, and other random musings of mine.
